The Beginning of God Invasion

In 2013, we began praying about launching a ministry focused on revival and spiritual awakening called God Invasion — Releasing Revival. Our first gathering featured Michael Thornton, author of Fire in the Carolinas, and drew 120 people—the same number gathered in the Upper Room in Acts 1.

After a year of prayer, God Invasion officially began in September 2015 with seven intercessors in Greenville, South Carolina. The prayer group quickly grew, and in 2016 we began bringing national revival leaders to Greenville each month.

During one of our first gatherings, Michael Thornton spoke on “Redigging the Wells of Revival.” Afterward, eight of us went to the top of Paris Mountain, where we prayed for revival, shared communion, and dedicated the mountain back to the Lord—a place connected to revival at Holmes Bible College approximately 100 years earlier.

The following month, Bill Yount joined us, blowing the shofar over Paris Mountain and declaring, “Open up, you ancient gates, that the King of Glory might come in.” We continued holding regional rallies and revival gatherings with leaders including Corey Russell, Ryan LeStrange, Dr. Michael Brown, Karen Wheaton, Jeri Hill, and many others.

For years, God Invasion helped prepare pastors, churches, leaders, and believers for revival.

Today, that vision continues as God Invasion — Living Revival, with a simple message:
